KSPS PBS is seeking a detail-oriented, creative intern to support the redesign and modernization of about five existing PBS LearningMedia educational collections. Working with the KSPS PBS Education Department, the intern will review current collections, update content to reflect current learning standards, migrate materials into a refreshed and more consistent design, and build a repeatable process for maintaining collections. This is hands-on experience in educational content development, content migration, research, quality assurance, and public media, resulting in a project that continues to serve educators after the internship ends.
What you'll do
- Review two to five existing KSPS PBS LearningMedia collections
- Evaluate content for relevance, accuracy, usability, and alignment with academic standards
- Research and verify current state and national learning standards
- Migrate text, links, videos, images, and lesson resources into the new design
- Reorganize collections to improve navigation and usability for educators
- Maintain consistent formatting, terminology, and instructional approach
- Document the redesign and migration process (an SOP and how-to) and give a final presentation
