Cup of Cool Water (CCW) is a Spokane drop-in center serving youth and young adults ages 14-24 experiencing homelessness, housing instability, or crisis. Project focus: gain hands-on experience in nonprofit administration while helping CCW strengthen internal systems, improve operational efficiency, and support organizational effectiveness. This role offers exposure to the behind-the-scenes functions that let a nonprofit fulfill its mission and serve the community. Deliverables include process maps and documentation, improved systems, SOPs and templates, efficiency recommendations, a completed improvement project, and a final report or presentation.
What you'll do
- Analyze existing administrative and operational workflows and identify opportunities for improvement
- Develop and document processes, procedures, and organizational systems that increase efficiency and consistency
- Assist with projects involving data management, reporting, and information organization
- Create tools, templates, and resources that improve staff productivity
- Participate in projects across donor stewardship, event operations, program administration, or organizational planning
- Research and recommend process improvements, best practices, or technology solutions
- Complete a defined operational improvement project that delivers long-term value
