Cup of Cool Water (CCW) is a Spokane drop-in center serving youth and young adults ages 14-24 experiencing homelessness, housing instability, or crisis. Project focus: support CCW in planning and executing fundraising and community events, with a particular focus on the Annual Fundraising Gala & Silent Auction. On-site in Spokane, with weekly mentorship from a CCW supervisor. Deliverables include an event planning timeline, a task/checklist system, volunteer coordination materials, a sponsor/table-host tracker, and recommendations for future events.

What you'll do

  • Assist with event planning timelines and project tracking
  • Coordinate vendors, sponsors, volunteers, auction items, and logistics
  • Organize event information, deadlines, and follow-up tasks
  • Assist with guest, table host, and sponsor coordination
  • Develop reusable event checklists and systems
  • Support day-of-event logistics when timing allows
  • Identify ways to improve event planning processes
